Offering a variety of small-sized classes and private yoga therapy sessions for all levels of experience.

The Studio

Our small studio holds space for a maximum of 10 people per class. This is to allow for a more attentive level of guidance from our teachers, and an environment that fosters a deeper connection to your yoga practice. 

Our intention is to create an inclusive and welcoming space that nourishes you, your practice and community connections.  

We offer a range of classes including all levels, gentle yoga, mums and bubs yoga, somatic, holistic & restorative yoga. Classes are thoughtfully considered and made accessible to all levels of experience.

About Jodie Kennedy


Jodie's journey in yoga started in 1988 in Adelaide, practising Iyengar yoga under the guidance of Vanessa Shribmann of Coast Yoga. This foundation led her to Colorado for further training, both in yoga and Massage Therapy. She completed two years of Iyengar teacher training at the Colorado School of Iyengar Yoga, as well as two years full time of Massage Therapy training at Colorado Institute of Massage Therapy. There, she honed her skills in anatomy, physiology, and various massage techniques, rounding out her holistic approach to wellness, working closely with allied health professionals.

Returning to Australia, Jodie continued to grow her expertise by completing the IYTA Yoga Teacher Training in 2017. She’s had the benefit of studying under esteemed teachers such as Alan Goode, Eve Gryzbowski, and Donna Farhi.

Jodie's years in both yoga and massage therapy inform her teaching style, making it both informed and accessible. Particularly in the realm of yoga therapy, Jodie tailors practices to support self-healing, manage pain, and improve movement and breathing. This ensures that the benefits of yoga can be experienced by all, regardless of age or stage of life.

STUDIO TIMETABLE

Our studio classes are run at an intimate scale (max 10 people) to allow you the space to truly drop into your own practice with a high level of guidance from your teacher.  

All props are provided, however you are welcome to bring your own mat if you prefer

Private Sessions

Jodie offers private sessions in the form of yoga tuition, or yoga therapy. Traditionally yoga was taught one-on-one. Practising in this way allows for more support from your teacher, a tailored practice to suit your body or an opportunity to deepen a particular aspect of your practice. 

Yoga Therapy is an evidence-based approach to tailor a practice that develops your capacity for self-healing, mediating pain and causes of pain, moving and breathing better. The practice is specific to your health concerns, injuries, illnesses or rehabilitation journey.

WORKSHOPS & EVENTS

Jodie Kennedy Yoga

1 hour of Yoga and Pranayama (breathing) & 1 hr Hot/Cold Immersion 

The breathing is followed by 45 mins of rotation between Hot/Cold Baths (filled with magnesium & essential oils), Sauna and warm Chai Tea (Nat's Chai).

ALL LOCAL, right here in Port Macquarie.

Date: Friday 28th March

Time: 2 sessions only

1st Session: 

8:30 - 9:30 am Yoga & Pranayama (breathing)

9:30 - 10:15 am Hot/Cold Magnesium Baths & Sauna (rotating between)

2nd Session:

10:30 - 11:15 am Hot/Cold Magnesium Baths & Sauna

For core stability and mobility.

What is Somatic Strength?

Slow, breath led, from the inside out movement. These 5 weeks are designed to support you build a resilient and pain-free lower back through an integrated approach combining breath, therapeutic movement and self-awareness. To build a more buoyant, fluid, stable core.

Each week you will receive the poses on a handout to practice at home.

Time: Chose from:

Monday 10 - 11 am OR

Tuesdays 6 - 7 am

Dates: 5 weeks only

March 10 & 11 Week 1: Hip Joints

March 17 & 18 Week 2: Lumbar spine

March 24 & 25. Week 3: Sacroiliac Joints

Mar 31 & Apr 1 Week 4: Pelvis & Pelvic Floor

April 7 & 8 Week 5: Therapeutics for Core Stability
